| | | | | | From 18 November 2005 - 4 February 2006, the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon, just outside London, presents A BEAR CALLED PADDINGTON. This brand new show for children aged 5+ is based on the books by Michael Bond and adapted and directed by Annie Wood.
Paddington arrived from Darkest Peru with nothing but his hat, a suitcase and an almost empty jar of marmalade ... so he was very pleased when, on a rather famous railway platform, he met Mr and Mrs Brown, who invited him to stay with them! And that, as we all know, is where Paddington’s adventures began ... or was it?
After the smash hit success of last year's James and the Giant Peach, Polka is thrilled to bring you another classic story with this brand new adaptation of Michael Bond's treasured books, told from the very beginning! With a fantastic creative team including Annie Wood (Stuart Little, Selfish Giant), Roman Stefanski (the man behind last year's smash hit James and the Giant Peach), and Frantic Assembly's Scott Graham, this is sure to be a show full of magic, mayhem and lots of marmalade!
