| | | | | | Some of the most collectable Paddington items are the figurines.
The very first Paddington figurines were made by Coalport china in England in the mid 1970s. There were many different poses of Paddington to collect and the one on the right, made in 1976, shows him dressed as a magician, pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
Soon afterwards figurines started to appear in other markets. Although the two on the left look like ordinary figurines, they are in fact a pair of salt and pepper shakers which were manufactured and sold in the USA in 1978. At the time almost all Paddington which were sold in North America were made with this colour combination of a yellow hat and light blue duffle coat.
Much more recently Coalport introduced a brand new, updated range of Paddington figurines. On the right is one of a total of sixteen different poses, showing Paddington dressed up in his tuxedo, complete with a bouqet of flowers.
